Joshua 14

^{2 !} The land of Canaan was deuided among the nine tribes and the halfe.

^{3 a} As Reuben & Gad & halfe the tribe of Manasseh.

^{4 b} So thogh Leui lacked, yet were there stil twelue tribes by this meanes.

^{6 !} Caleb requireth the heritage that was promised him.

^{6 c} Which was, that they two onely shulde enter into the land, {Nom. 14,24}.

^{8 d} Which were the ten other spies.

^{11 /} Ebr. to go eat, and come in.

^{12 e} This he spake of modestie & not of douting.
