Ruth 2

^{1 a} Bothe for vertue, autoritie and riches.

^{1 !} Ruth gathereth corne in the fieldes of Boaz.

^{2 b} This her humilitie declareth her great affection toward her mother in lawe, for as muche as she spareth no painful diligence to get bothe their liuings.

^{7 /} Or, certaine bandefuls.

^{9 c} That is, Take hede in what field they do reape.

^{10 d} Euen of the Moabites, which are enemies to Gods people.

^{12 e} Signifing that she shal neuer want anie thing if she put her trust in God & liue vnder his protection.

^{14 f} Which she broght home to her mother in lawe.

^{15 !} The gentlenes of Boaz toward her.

^{18 g} To wit, of her bagg, as is in the Chaldean texte.

^{20 h} To my housband & children, when they were aliue & now to vs.

^{22 /} Or, fall vpon thee.

^{23 /} Or, returned to her mother in lawe.
